Beta Theta Pi is proud to partner with the Movember Foundation for our fall philanthropy. Movember is an organization that raises awareness of men’s health issues. The movember campaign raises funds primarily for cancer research that affects men specifically. This research includes testicular and prostate cancers. The Movember campaign also raises awareness for men’s mental health. 60 men commit suicide each hour, meaning that one man will take his life every minute. Beta Theta Pi wants to bring this issue to light and support those who silently struggle every single day. The brothers of Beta Theta Pi will be growing facial hair throughout the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health. The brothers of Beta Theta Pi will be holding an event in the UC Breezeway where brothers will collect change over the course of the day, in order to raise funds for the Movember campaign.
