Aprendo Contigo (“Learning with you”) is an educational/recreational program that provides children that are severely impacted by illness, the chance to continue their studies by attending classes during their treatments. Their goal is to take each child back to the world that they have had to leave behind because of their illnesses. Through the Aprendo Contigo program, hospitalized children can wake up every morning knowing that they will be able to continue their school routine, attending classes and interacting with classmates, educational assistants, and qualified teachers. The program contributes to the integral development of the hospitalized child, by providing emotional, social and family stability, thereby facilitating their return to their surroundings and schools when their treatment is over.
